NFREA is an association of retired educators from North Fulton County as well as from within the state of Georgia and across the country. All are welcome! We are retired school administrators, counselors, media specialists, technology specialists, and professional assistants. Our membership includes all retired educators who have worked within a school system and continue to care deeply about what happens to children in our schools. Our association hosts 6 meetings throughout the year. Meetings give members the opportunity to share experiences, meet with friends, learn more about available services for retirees, keep up on state legislation that impacts the Georgia Teacher Retirement System as well as support for local charitable actions.
Our meetings include guest speakers from the community, state legislature, PAGE, TRS, and other organizations that impact teacher retirements. Members are given new information at each meeting that keeps them well informed!
